Write section-wise answers in science, social science exams: CBSE to students

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a significant change for Class 10 students, effective from 2026, requiring them to answer questions section-wise in their science and social science examinations. This new directive aims to streamline the evaluation process and ensure that students demonstrate a clear understanding of each section of the syllabus. Responses that are mixed or not organized by sections will not be assessed, which has prompted varied reactions from students, educators, and parents alike. While some view this approach as a method to enhance clarity and focus in exam responses, others express concerns about its impact on students' performance and stress levels. This policy is part of CBSE's ongoing efforts to improve educational standards and assessment practices, aligning with its broader objectives to foster a more structured learning environment. Stakeholders are encouraged to adapt to these changes in preparation for future examinations, ensuring that students are well-informed and equipped to meet the new requirements.
