RSS doesn't practice Hindutva politics, believes in nation building: Mohan Bhagwat

Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has emphasized that the organization does not engage in Hindutva politics but rather focuses on nation-building through the development of individuals. Speaking at a recent event, Bhagwat stated that the RSS aims to foster a robust society by empowering individuals, thereby contributing to the overall strength of the nation. He clarified that the RSS's mission is rooted in promoting unity and progress rather than divisive political agendas. This assertion comes amid ongoing debates about the role of the RSS in Indian politics, as critics often associate it with a hardline Hindutva ideology. However, Bhagwat's remarks reflect a broader vision of social cohesion and collective growth, aligning with the RSS's long-standing commitment to cultural and national integrity. The organization, founded in 1925, has historically focused on community service, education, and the promotion of Hindu values, which it claims are essential for national development. Bhagwat's statement seeks to redefine the narrative surrounding the RSS, emphasizing its role in fostering a harmonious and prosperous society in India.
