ICSSR approves 96 seminars nationwide to study GST 2.0 reforms

The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) has approved 96 seminars across the country aimed at exploring the reforms introduced by GST 2.0. These seminars will be hosted by a wide array of educational institutions, including 21 central universities, 17 state universities, 28 colleges, 27 private universities, and three research institutes. The initiative reflects the ICSSR’s commitment to fostering academic dialogue and research on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and its implications for the Indian economy. By engaging various stakeholders in this comprehensive study, the ICSSR aims to facilitate a deeper understanding of GST 2.0, which has undergone significant changes since its initial implementation. This move is expected to enhance policy discussions and contribute valuable insights for future tax reforms. The seminars will also provide a platform for scholars to present their findings and collaborate on research related to taxation and economic policy in India.
