Hubballi to host Ranji final; Chinnaswamy not yet ready

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has confirmed that the Ranji Trophy final will take place in Hubballi, as the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is not yet ready to host the match. This decision comes after the KSCA considered both venues for the final between Karnataka and Jammu & Kashmir. The selection of Hubballi reflects the association's efforts to promote cricket in regions outside the capital city, providing an opportunity for local fans to engage with top-level cricket. Hubballi's infrastructural capabilities and previous hosting experience were likely influential in this decision. The final is anticipated to draw significant attention, given the importance of the Ranji Trophy in Indian cricket, which showcases state-level talent and has historically been a stepping stone for many future national players.
