Don't Want Flying Ban? See New Definitions Of "Unruly Behaviour" On Flight

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in India has introduced six new categories to define 'unruly behaviour' on flights, an initiative aimed at enhancing passenger safety and ensuring a more pleasant flying experience. These new definitions include actions such as physical aggression, verbal abuse, refusal to follow crew instructions, and other disruptive behaviours that can jeopardize the safety and comfort of all passengers on board. The move comes in response to a rising number of incidents involving unruly passengers, which have prompted calls for stricter regulations and clearer guidelines. By delineating specific behaviours that fall under this category, the DGCA seeks to provide airlines with a framework to manage and address such issues effectively. This update reinforces the importance of maintaining decorum during flights and aims to deter potential offenders by outlining the consequences of their actions. As air travel continues to grow in India, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all passengers remains a top priority for the aviation sector.
