Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Completion Pushed To June, Gujarat Stretch Delayed To FY28: Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, announced that the completion timeline for the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has been adjusted, with the stretch from Delhi to Vadodara expected to be operational by May, while the final leg to Mumbai is set for completion by June. However, the Gujarat section of the expressway has faced significant delays, with its completion now pushed to the fiscal year 2028. This extensive expressway project, aimed at enhancing connectivity between India's capital and its financial hub, is crucial for reducing travel time and boosting trade. Gadkari's announcement sheds light on the ongoing challenges in infrastructure development, emphasizing the government's commitment to modernizing India's road networks despite the setbacks. The expressway, once completed, is anticipated to transform travel dynamics, fostering economic growth and improving access to various regions along its route.
