Chhattisgarh close to eradicating Left Wing Extremism, says goveror Ramen Deka

Chhattisgarh is on the brink of eradicating Left Wing Extremism, according to Governor Ramen Deka. In a significant update, the governor revealed that over the past two years, security forces have made substantial progress in combating Maoist insurgency. A total of 2,004 Maoists have been arrested, while 532 have been neutralized in various operations. Additionally, a notable 2,704 individuals have surrendered to authorities, indicating a shift in local sentiment and a willingness to abandon violence. The governor's remarks highlight ongoing efforts by the state government and security agencies to restore peace and stability in the region, which has long been affected by Maoist activities.
