BSE Drops Tata Tech, HUDCO, Piramal Pharma And Torrent Power From F&O Segment

In a significant move, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has announced the removal of Tata Technologies, Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO), Piramal Pharma, and Torrent Power from its Futures and Options (F&O) segment. This decision, effective from May 4, 2026, will see these contracts no longer available for trading in the Equity Derivatives market, and the exchange will not create any new expiry month contracts for these entities. The BSE's action reflects ongoing adjustments within the derivatives market, aimed at optimizing trading activities and enhancing liquidity. Investors and market analysts will need to reassess their strategies in light of this development, as the exclusion of these stocks from the F&O segment could impact trading volumes and investment positions related to these companies. This decision highlights the BSE's proactive approach to maintaining a robust trading environment and ensuring that only the most viable contracts remain available to traders.
