Bhagwant Mann Inaugurates Reconstruction Of Ferozepur Feeder Canal

On Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann launched the first phase of the reconstruction and relining of the Ferozepur Feeder Canal in Makhu. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance irrigation facilities in the Malwa region, which is crucial for the agricultural economy of Punjab. The Ferozepur Feeder Canal plays a significant role in supplying water for irrigation, and its reconstruction aims to improve water flow efficiency and reduce wastage. Mann emphasized that this project would greatly benefit local farmers, ensuring more reliable access to water for their crops, thus supporting the agricultural backbone of the state. This step is seen as essential for boosting productivity and sustainability in the region, which has historically faced challenges related to water management and agricultural practices. The government is committed to modernizing irrigation systems across Punjab to foster economic growth and improve the livelihoods of farmers in the area.
