21 Priests To Bring Soil From Ayodhya For Bengal Ram Temple

In a significant development for the proposed Ram temple in West Bengal's Nadia district, the Shri Krittibas Ram Mandir Trust has announced plans for a ceremonial pilgrimage to Ayodhya. A group of 21 priests is set to travel to Ayodhya to collect sacred soil, which will be used in the temple's foundation. This initiative aims to replicate the spirit of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, while incorporating a unique 'Bengali' idol that reflects local culture and traditions. The project is part of broader efforts to promote Hindu cultural heritage in the region, which has seen a rise in community engagement around religious activities. The temple's construction is expected to strengthen the religious identity of the area and foster a sense of unity among devotees. As preparations progress, the trust emphasizes the significance of this pilgrimage, linking it to the larger narrative of Ram worship in India and the reverence associated with Ayodhya as a holy site.
